More in This Series

Join us for Earth Week as we celebrate Earth Day and focus on sustainability and appreciation for our planet. This week, we're hosting activities in collaboration with our on campus Wildlife club. They are aimed to encourage us to think globally and act locally, perfect for anyone who loves making a difference through hands-on projects.
Make and Take: Get creative with seed bombs and eco poetry! Craft seed bombs using native plant seeds to help beautify and diversify local green spaces. These easy-to-make seed bombs ensure that only non-invasive plants grow, helping to support our ecosystem. Meanwhile, channel your inner poet by composing eco poetry. It’s a fun way to express your thoughts on nature and the environment in a creative and reflective way.
Events of the Week
Making Bee Houses
Tuesday, April 23
1:30 to 3:30 pm
Help out our buzzing friends by constructing bee houses from natural materials. These simple structures provide a safe haven for bees and can be placed in your garden to support local pollinators.
Bioactive Terrariums
Thursday, April 25
2:00 to 4:30 pm
Learn how to create your own bioactive terrarium, complete with soils, plants, water, and springtails. These self-contained ecosystems are fascinating to build and easy to maintain, making them perfect for any indoor space.
Whether you’re making a bee house, setting up a terrarium, or jotting down some thoughtful lines about the earth, your involvement is what makes this week exciting. Let’s enjoy and take care of our planet, one project at a time.
