Los Rios Native American Celebration

Los Rios Native Student Celebration is a Los Rios Community College district-wide event that celebrates the accomplishments of students that have earned a certificate and/or degree in the current academic year, and or are transferring to a four year university.

Keynote Speaker

Dr. Crystal Alire Martinez (Miwok) has been a regional advocate of Native education and tribal sovereignty for many years. She is the former chairwoman of the Ione Band of Miwok Indians. She is currently the President of the Elk Grove Unified School District Board, as well as a tenured counselor at Cosumnes River College. She is also a Director-at-large for the California School Boards Association.
