Textbooks on Reserve
Textbooks for many classes at EDC are available to use for two hours, one day, three days, or one week at a time. Search for your textbook.
Instructors at the El Dorado Center can visit the library to place textbooks on reserve. Contact us at (530) 642-5696 or FLC-Librarian@flc.losrios.edu if you have any questions.
We are available to help you with your research assignments and interests throughout the semester. Visit the EDC Library in Building A for one-on-one help from a librarian Monday through Thursday during most business hours.
You can schedule a 30-minute research appointment in advance by completing the Request Research Appointment Form. We are available for research help by appointment Monday through Friday during the fall and spring semesters, and Monday through Thursday during the summer session.
Check out the EDC General Research Guide to discover library resources that support your research needs and learn some useful research tips.
You can email your research questions to FLC-Librarian@flc.losrios.edu. A librarian will respond to your email as soon as possible, typically within 24 hours (Monday through Friday only).
Speak to a reference librarian by calling the Research Desk at (916) 608-6612 during open business hours.
Library Instruction Sessions
Instructors at the El Dorado Center are encouraged to schedule library instruction sessions for their classes using the Library Instruction Request Form. Librarians will teach students how to use the library resources and services that best meet the research needs of the individual course or assignment. We will also cover basic search strategies, techniques and tips.
We will confirm your library instruction date, time, and location once you fill out the form. At least one week’s notice is required to schedule a library instruction, and your presence during the scheduled session is expected. If you have any questions, please contact James Telles at (916) 608-6528 or email@example.com.
