If you are a US citizen—
Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

- Work-study
- Loans
- Scholarships
If you are not a US citizen—
Submit the California Dream Act Application (CADAA)
If you are not a US citizen, permanent resident, or eligible non-citizen, then you can still access plenty of financial aid opportunities by submitting the CADAA, including:
- State grants and fee waivers
- Assistance from EOPS, CARE, or CalWORKs
- Scholarships
The information you provide on this application is only used to help you pay for college.
Scholarships
Most local, state, and federal scholarships are automatically awarded to you after you submit your financial aid application. However, there may be additional opportunities worth exploring.
Scholarships have differing eligibility and application requirements, so contact your college financial aid office if you need help.
