It depends on your background. If you do not have any programming experience, the introduction to computer science course would be the appropriate one to start with. The CIS department at Folsom Lake College is primarily focused on programming. Consequently, the department offers classes in many popular programming languages. Please see the FLC College Catalog for more information on what specific classes are offered.
In theory, none. The college has computer labs. However, hardware has become so inexpensive practically all of our students own their own equipment.
We recommend that you do not take two programming courses at the same time. This is because the languages are superficially similar and it's very easy to confuse them when you are writing code.
