The Innovation Center and MESA have teamed up with local organizers to host the NASA International Space Apps Challenge at Folsom Lake College on October 4 and 5, 2025. The NASA International Space Apps Challenge is the world's largest annual global hackathon. This two-day event fosters innovation through international collaboration by providing an opportunity for participants to utilize NASA's free and open data to address real-world problems on Earth and in space.

This free event brings diverse innovators and creators together from all across our region to form teams, work collaboratively together, have fun learning, and create new solutions that solve problems with a global impact. This international collaborative event is for anyone with an interest in Earth and space science, no matter their age, skill level, or professional background. We are inviting coders, entrepreneurs; artists, scientists, engineers, designers, storytellers, makers, builders, and technologists to come together to solve on-Earth and in-Space challenges using NASA's open source data.

Faculty, staff, students, and administrators are all invited to participate.
