The 2025 Folsom Lake College Men of Color Summit will educate, empower, and motivate students to strive for excellence in education. Throughout the day, students, faculty, staff, and community members will engage in discussions encompassing the needs and issues that men of Color specifically face, and how those issues intersect with their academic and professional careers.
Folsom Lake College has partnered with over ten local high schools to increase the academic and social success of men of Color.
The Summit invites all students to participate, however, it is intentionally designed to help men of Color gain a stronger sense of self as well as to connect with peers, faculty, staff, and the larger Folsom Lake College community.
Summit Goals
- Provide opportunities for participants to learn from and engage with professional leaders in the community.
- Provide networking opportunities for participants to learn from each other by participating in workshops and small group discussions.
