Celebrating the Class of 2020

May 20, 2020

Commencement is one of the best traditions on any college campus, so we were incredibly disappointed to announce that the ceremony would have to be cancelled as a result of the COVID-19 public health crisis. In a college survey, graduating students overwhelmingly expressed little interest in holding any virtual ceremony. As a result, there will not be a 2020 graduation ceremony at Folsom Lake College.

That does not, however, mean that we can’t celebrate the outstanding achievements of our graduating students this spring. To commemorate this special occasion, a special webpage has been developed, which includes a digital Commencement program and a video tribute from your Falcon family.

The college will also be mailing each and every graduating student an official commencement program, a letter from President Whitney Yamamura, and your official Class of 2020 tassel. Additionally, all graduates will be invited to participate during the Spring 2021 in-person commencement ceremony.
