More in This Series
This week, we're highlighting sustainability in creativity, in collaboration with the EcoClub. From repairing clothing to crafting with upcycled materials like tea bags, we're exploring ways to reduce waste and increase longevity in the items we use. Add your touch to our community garden whiteboard or join one of our exciting events to make something meaningful while staying eco-friendly.
Events of the Week
Tea & Paint Chill Session
Day: Monday, December 2
Time: 10:30 am to 1:00 pm
Ease into the week with a relaxing morning of rock painting, tea, and mellow synth music. Bring your creativity to life by painting rocks or canvases in a laid-back, low-volume environment. Tea will be provided, but feel free to bring extra tea bags to share. We will be collecting the used tea bags for the event on Wednesday.
Learning Clothing Repair
Day: Tuesday, December 3
Time: 1:30 to 2:30 pm
Extend the life of your clothes and bags by learning simple repair techniques! Whether you've got a rip in your favorite jeans or a strap that's seen better days, bring your items, and we'll show you how to fix them in this hands-on session.
Tea-Bag Lanterns with EcoClub
Day: Wednesday, December 4
Time: 12:00 to 1:00 pm
Transform used tea bags into beautiful, customized lanterns! With designs of your choosing, you'll create a unique, sustainable decoration perfect for your home or as a gift. This event highlights how we can turn what's traditionally waste into something meaningful and reusable.
We're excited to celebrate sustainability with you this week. Big shout out to our lovely artist, theratmaster21, for the amazing art this week!
