In order to write about literature effectively, a writer must understand much more than just the point of the text; a writer must also be familiar with common literary devices used in each genre, including poetry, novels, short stories, and drama. Attend this workshop to learn strategies for understanding a literary text, analyzing the various literary devices to derive meaning, and for making your own argument about a piece of literature.
