Folsom Lake College's Visual Arts Department proudly presents a virtual art show of student scholarship finalists. The show will be on virtual exhibit from March 6 through May 16, 2026.
These FLC art students have made it to the final round and will be competing for the following scholarships:
- Kingsley Merit Scholarship Award
- El Dorado Hills Art Association Rising Artist Scholarship
- Joey Cattone Young Artist Award and Memorial Scholarship
- Folsom Art Association Investing in the Artist of Tomorrow Scholarship
The winner of the Kingsley Merit Scholarship Award will represent Folsom Lake College at an exhibition at the Crocker Art Museum from May 14 through June 21, 2026. There will be a reception at the Crocker Art Museum honoring the student artists on Sunday, June 21, at 1:00 pm in the Crocker Auditorium, where each artist will receive a $550 award with a certificate. The Kingsley Art Club Merit Awards Program is a longstanding tradition that supports emerging art students from the six local community colleges (American River, Cosumnes River, Folsom Lake, Sacramento City, Sierra, and Yuba). The professors at each college select one student to be recognized and to receive the award.
The El Dorado Hills Art Association Rising Artist Scholarship is sponsored by the El Dorado Hills Art Association (EDHAA) and awarded to one art student from FLC who plans to study and pursue a career in art. The winner will give a presentation at one of the EDHAA members' meetings and receive a $1,000 award.
The Joey Cattone Young Artist Award and Memorial Scholarship is sponsored by EDHAA via the El Dorado Arts Council and will be awarded to one promising art student. The winner will give a presentation at one of the EDHAA members' meetings and receive a $1,000 award.
The Folsom Art Association Investing in the Artist of Tomorrow Scholarship is awarded by the Folsom Art Association (FAA) to one art student from FLC who plans to study and pursue a career in art. The winner will give a presentation at one of the FAA members' meetings and receive a $1,000 award.
