Veterans Success Center

  • Services offered: Assistance with the transition from active duty to student life and starting up your GI Bill™, Priority registration, provides assistance to Veterans and dependents who may be eligible for various VA educational benefits, as well as assisting with the onboarding process and transition to college.

DSPS Disability Services & Programs for Students

  • Services offered: DSPS Academic Counseling, Support and accommodations for mobility, blind and visual, deaf and hearing impairments, and psychological and mental health disabilities, or other Other medical disabilities that result in a functional limitation that affects academics.

WorkAbility III

  • The WorkAbility III (WAIII) program helps students with disabilities explore career opportunities, connect to internships, and find a job. WAIII staff meet regularly with students to provide one-on-one, individualized assistance navigating the journey to employment. 

Refugee Career Pathways Program

  • Services offered:  College navigation with language support, Work readiness,  connected with various refugee-serving organizations in the Sacramento region such as legal services, housing assistance, mental health counseling, entrepreneurship support, and more.   •  24/7 confidential referral line for employment services, housing, legal help, and more. Available in multiple languages.

Golden Sierra

(For people who live in Placer, El Dorado, and Alpine counties)

  • Provides job search assistance, counseling, scholarships, on-the-job training, and more. The job center has computers, printers, WiFi, and other essential resources. Offers typing tests and administers career assessments upon request. No appointment is necessary, and services are always free.

PRIDE Industries

  • Provides job placement, personalized employment coaching and training for people who experience workforce barriers, including those with disabilities, veterans, foster youth, and trafficking survivors.

EDD Employment Development Department

  • Services: Workshops pertaining to job search workshop, resume, job applications, and other job readiness skills. Hosts job fairs with employer partners.
  • Also offers specific workshops and job fairs for veterans.

Bach Viet Association

  • A nonprofit organization that provides a range of services including education in English literacy, job search, digital literacy, and job development. Offers job readiness support for, resume, application and interview. Host career fairs with employer connections. Offers a subsidized employment program and on-the-job training programs.

REDA Center - Refugee Enrichment & Development Agency

World Relief Sacramento

  • Helps refugees and immigrants by providing comprehensive support for them to rebuild their lives in the U.S.. This includes resettlement services, English language education, employment and economic empowerment, immigration legal services, and case management. The organization partners with local churches and community members to help families with basic necessities and integration into the community.
