This collection of links provides access to many ready reference sites selected by Librarians. Using these links makes it possible to use encyclopedias, dictionaries and other reference tools in full-text.

BUBL Link Catalogue of selected Internet resources: "BUBL LINK is the name of a catalogue of selected Internet resources covering all academic subject areas and catalogued according to DDC (Dewey Decimal Classification). All items are selected, evaluated, catalogued and described. Links are checked and fixed each month. LINK stands for Libraries of Networked Knowledge."

E-Guides at Columbia University Library: "Targeted resource guides and Internet pathfinders selected by CU Librarians." Available throughout this mega-index are reference guides by special topic.

Florida International University Library Subject Collections: Broad subject categories to specific subject websites selected and evaluated by the Florida International University Librarians.

InfoMine: "INFOMINE is a virtual library of Internet resources relevant to faculty, students, and research staff at the university level. It contains useful Internet resources such as databases, electronic journals, electronic books, bulletin boards, mailing lists, online library card catalogs, articles, directories of researchers, and many other types of information. INFOMINE is librarian built. Librarians from The University of California, Wake Forest University, California State University, The University of Detroit - Mercy, and other universities and colleges have contributed to building INFOMINE."

Internet Resources for Ready Reference: A categorical subject guide to reference sources by the librarians at the Florida International University Library.

Knowledge Connection: A very simple subject guide provided by The Press Democrat of Sonoma County.

Martindale's Reference Desk: An extensive categorical index updated daily by Jim Martindale particularily for science and health science research, language usage including Interactive sign language & braille.

Refdesk.com: An excellent directory to online reference sources for facts and information on the Internet maintained by Webmaster, Bob Drudge.

Visual Thesaurus Online Edition: "The Visual Thesaurus accesses data from WordNet, a publicly available lexical reference system developed by the Cognitive Science Laboratory at Princeton University. This database, inspired by psycholinguistic theories of human lexical memory, contains over 50,000 words and 40,000 phrases collected into more than 70,000 sense meanings."

Webref: Multiple selection of glossaries providing several hundred terms in each subject discipline in the physical, social, biological sciences, and asthetic arts.

WordReference: "WordReference can be used as a free online dictionary. Type in a word in the forms to the left for a quick definition. There are four multilingual translation dictionaries and one extremely big English dictionary."
