    BUBL Information Service: "Free User-Friendly Access to Selected Internet Resources Covering all Subject Areas, with a Special Focus on Library and Information Science"

     

    Educator's Reference Desk: This site provides a resource collection with links to over 3000 resources on a variety of educational issues including Internet sites, educational organizations, and electronic discussion groups. The Reference Desk also provides a lesson plan collection that contains more than 2000 unique lesson plans which were written and submitted by teachers from all over the United States.

     

    ERIC -- Educational Resources Information Center: Promotional and outreach arm of the U.S. Department of Education's Educational esources Information Center (ERIC) system, keeps you informed of the wealth of information offered by the ERIC components and other education-related organizations.

     

    Folsom Lake College: Teaching/Learning Community Site: Faculty of Folsom Lake College have developed a web site that provides information about teaching and learning. Links to selected educational websites are available along with links to books on critical pedagogies, teaching, learning mathematics, including books published by the Association of American Colleges and Universities. This site is supported by the subcommittee of the Professional Development Committee at Folsom Lake College.

     

    Intute: Education: "Intute is a free online service providing you with access to the very best Web resources for education and research, evaluated and selected by a network of subject specialists."

     

    National Science Foundation Classroom Resources: The Classroom Resources is a diverse collection of lessons and web resources for classroom teachers, and their students. Materials are arranged by subject area to help teachers find resources and create lesson plans.

     

    Reading Rockets: Funded by WETA TV and the U.S. Department of Education, Reading Rockets is a national multimedia project offering information and resources on how young kids learn to read and why so many struggle. The website includes research-based articles, tips for parents and educators, a monthly e-newsletter, and national and local education resources.     St. Ambrose University Library: Includes resources by major, hot paper topics, resources for students, faculty, online reference, disabilities, and librarians.

     

    Teachers: Created just for teachers, this Libarary of Congress Website features links to LC sites with lesson plans, digital documents and encyclopedias pertaining to the American Experience.

     

    US Department of Education - Publications: "The U.S. Department of Education's (ED) main publications page links to hundreds of online full-text publications and products -- including research, statistics, resource directories, and information for improving educational practice -- and ED Pubs, ED's online publication ordering system."

    All America Reads: "A national reading and literacy program designed to encourage reading and discussion of novels with broad appeal and accessible themes. " Produced by the Wish You Well Foundation and based on the work of Dr. Kylene Beers, Professor of Reading at the University of Houston.

     

    America Reads Challenge: The Reading Excellence Program is a campaign that challenges the public to help children learn to read, including English Language Learners and students with disabilities.     American Association of Community Colleges (AACC): "This website from the American Association of Community Colleges features academic resources, community college finders, research, and publications for higher education administrators and students worldwide."
