HW Guidelines:

 

  1. USE PENCIL.  No credit will be given to homework done in pen.
  2. Staple a COVER PAGE to the front of your homework packet.  List vertically the following information on the cover sheet: the chapter number, individual section number, your name, class, and my name (a sample of a cover sheet is attached to the back of this packet). 
  1. Start each new section on a new page.  List that section’s assigned problems on the TOP of the page.
  2. CIRCLE of BOX all final answers.
  3. Write out each problem and leave enough room to show steps clearly. If I can’t find or understand your solutions, no credit will be given.  If it’s a word problem, summarize the problem.  Failure to write out each problem and show work for any part of the HW will result in partial credit.  

8.    The homework packet must be STAPLED before you turn it in.  All pages must be stapled and placed in the order they were assigned.  Use loose leaf paper only.

9.    HW is due by 6:00 pm on due date.  Any HW turned in after 6:10 pm is considered to be late and is eligible for half credit.  Late HW will be accepted until the next class session by 6:00 pm.

 

Each homework packet is worth 10 points: 

·         2 points for organization (presentation and format)

·         3 points for completing the assigned problems with correct solutions.

·         5 points for five ‘end problems’ that will be assigned in class before the due date.  These five problems will be graded with no partial points.  Each problem is worth one point.
